Meet The Devon Rex

Devon Rex is a breed of intelligent, short-haired feline that emerged in England during the 1960s. They are known for their slender bodies, wavy coat, large ears and hypoallergenic fur. This breed of cat is capable of learning difficult tricks, they are even known to recognize their owner’s name, just as they do their own.

The typical Devon is active, mischievous, playful, and very people-oriented. They have been described as a cross between a cat, a dog and a monkey (or, more famously, as “a monkey in a cat suit”). They are high-jumpers and will try to occupy any space large enough to admit them. With this trait, they are often found in odd nooks and crannies of a closet, shelf, or laundry basket.

Beautiful topaz, Devon Rex are famous for having vivid, reflective eyes.
Devon Rex are the only Hypo-Allergenic feline breeds, having the softest non-shedding fur of all domesticated cats.

Friendly Feline

Another common trait of Devon Rex cats is strong show of affection: they have a particular penchant for being close to the head or neck of their human companions and can often be found mounted upon one’s shoulder or nestled into the cranny created by the neck and shoulder when one is prone. The Devon Rex is a faithful companion and will usually follow the object of their affection from room to room, waiting for the opportunity to leap onto their arms, lap, or shoulder.

Happy Kitten Waiting List

We’re here to give each happy kitten a new home, but we can’t rush perfection. SadleRoc Devon kittens spend lots of time with people, socialize with other kittens, litter train and vaccinate before they’re ready to transition into a new home. While we strive to keep a regular litter frequency, our foundation queens need to feel ready to reproduce willingly, with a fitting, willing sire. Ready to sign up to our waiting list? Contact Us on our Kitten Page and we will respond promptly.

We serve our happy owners on a first-come first-serve basis. This way we make sure everyone is happy and kittens get fitting homes.
